I've got a task which says it will take 50 days (strange as a similar task is taking only 1 day on another core of the same CPU), but the deadline is only 11 days from now. Is Universe@home like Primegrid in that it will send trickle up messages every day and allow the task to complete even if it's late? Or should I abort? Both tasks have the same predicted GFLOPS/sec and task size, so I'm not sure why one is going much slower.

It's been on 2.015% since I posted the above 13 hours ago, I'l assume it's jammed and abort.

sometimes the data update percentage freezes .... particularly when the task has been suspended to do other work ....

running a cpu test in boinc can sometimes reset this problem.....

Well it had been running for 5 times longer than any other task took to complete, so I don't think it's just the % that froze. It was never going to finish.

Not getting other problems, so I don't think a test would help.

It's not about the test, its just a way to pause the task and resume it. Or pause/resume manually.

I'm seeing Universe and another project (I forget which - I think it's Milkyway) getting stuck sometimes. Both are in the process of trialling new code. I'll try a manual pause/resume next time one sticks.
